Job Description:

Our client is a global freight forwarder and has been established in the UK since 1980. They provide solutions to the diverse and complex transport requirements of the international engineering, civil construction, petrochemical and power generating sectors.

They are currently seeking an Air Freight Co-ordinator to be based at their offices in Middlesex.

The successful candidate will be responsible for arranging collections across the globe to meet pre-arranged shipping schedules.

You will liaise with overseas agents and UK hauliers as required, arranging necessary packing and marking of cargo, creation of manifests for cargo consolidation.

You will ensure the production of airway bills for passenger and cargo flights and raising of the necessary custom documentation and sales invoices.

Knowledge and Skills:

The successful candidate should be an accomplished logistics professional with air freight forwarding experience ideally gained within a commercial freight forwarding company.

You will be familiar with customs documentation, import and export procedures.

You will have experience of booking flights and aviation security clearance.

You should also possess experience of using RedBerry software and have knowledge of dangerous good by air procedures.

You should be well organised, have the ability to work under pressure, be flexible and able to work on ones own initiative.

Our client is offering a basic salary of around £22-25k depending upon experience and skill set. In addition there is a good range of benefits.
